ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

Effective date: 2026-06-13

Operator: Tommaso Bertocchi (“we”, “us”), operator of OpenOSINT Cloud (the “Service”) at openosint.tech.

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the Service and forms part of the Terms of Service. By using the Service you agree to it.

1. AUTHORIZED USE ONLY

The Service provides open-source intelligence (OSINT) tooling intended for lawful purposes such as authorized security research, fraud prevention, threat intelligence, corporate due diligence, and journalism. You may only use the Service where you have a lawful basis and, where applicable, authorization to investigate the target in question. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use is lawful in your jurisdiction and the target’s.

3. BRING-YOUR-OWN-KEY (BYOK) RESPONSIBILITY

For data sources where you supply your own provider API key, you are bound by that provider’s terms of service in addition to ours. You are responsible for your provider accounts, costs, and compliance. We are not a party to your relationship with upstream providers.

4. DATA ABOUT THIRD PARTIES

OSINT results may contain personal data about third parties. Where you process such data, you act as the data controller and are responsible for having a lawful basis under the GDPR and applicable law, for honoring data-subject rights, and for any onward use.

5. NO WARRANTY OF ACCURACY

Results are provided “as is” and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for decisions that legally or materially affect any individual.

6. ENFORCEMENT

We may suspend or terminate access immediately, without refund, for any actual or suspected breach, and may report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities as required by law. We may cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.

7. REPORTING ABUSE

8. CHANGES

We may update this AUP; material changes will be posted at openosint.tech/acceptable-use with a revised effective date.
